Native to and still based in County Wicklow, Úna is an emerging, self-taught artistic talent, producing bold and contemporary works in vibrant colours.
Úna has a lifelong interest in artistic creation, from an early background in ceramics to producing paintings for private local commissions. She has recently begun producing broader collections to exhibit in local venues, including the Wexford Opera Festival.
Heavily influenced by ancient Irish stonework and early Christian manuscripts, Úna has created and continues to create a strong, modern and colourful collection of paintings which reflects this interest. Using acrylics as her preferred medium has enabled Úna to achieve the strong earthy colours illustrated in her current body of work.
